Mackinaw Loves Its Bridge

Mary Lou Peters is an active member of the Mackinaw Area Historical Society. As the 50th anniversary of the Mackinac Bridge approached, she saw an opportunity, and felt a responsibility, to gather stories of some local residents who were impacted in many ways by the coming of the bridge.

The writing of this book was a labor of love. All proceeds from its sale go toward the development of the Mackinaw Area Historic Village.

Illustrated with many black and white vintage photos.

52 pages

Price: $7.00 plus tax

Also available at the Island Bookstore in Mackinaw City and on Mackinac Island.

Reader comments:

It looks as if you found just the right people to interview, and the way things are laid out make for enticing reading.
